Musician
Past Experience
I attended the Crane School of Music, where I got a degree in music education and music business. Besides my student teaching & subsequent Real Life teaching placements (see: Teacher), I got valuable experiences as president of WAIH Radio & Madstop Records, as well as a Social Media & Marketing intern at Sony Music. At Crane I played bass clarinet for the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band, as well as the Clarinet Choir and various student-organized chamber groups.
Current Performance Groups
I’m a current member of the funk band KTX, where I play bass, provide vocals, and do a lot of our social media ‘stuff.’ I’m also a member of the Potsdam Community Band, for which I play any number of instruments including the clarinet and saxophone families, as well as percussion, and the St. Lawrence University and the Norwood Brass Firemen, for which I play trumpet.
Pit Musician
I play reed & bass guitar for pit orchestras! Here are some I’ve done:
- Annie Get Your Gun
- Anything Goes
- Footloose
- Once Upon a Mattress
- The Pirates of Penzance
- Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella
- The Wizard of Oz
- Zombie Prom
